The Challenge
Wtih a new Melbourne workplace, CyberArk’s wanted to elevate brand presence, support hybrid work, maximise a modest footprint, and offer flexibility for growth, all while delivering a distinct local character to complement its Sydney headquarters.

Spaceful worked closely with CyberArk’s executive team to define the goals for the new workspace. The strategy was centred around:
- Return to office: Creating an inviting, compelling environment to bring employees together more often.
- Hybrid work: Providing diverse work settings and a flexible layout that accommodates different work modes and interstate travel patterns.
- Scalability and efficiency: Maximising workstation capacity and planning for future growth while managing costs.
- Melbourne identity: Building a design narrative that is cohesive with Sydney yet uniquely Melbourne.
These strategic objectives informed Spaceful’s property search support. Working alongside real estate experts, Spaceful coordinated inspections and led a rigorous due diligence process to evaluate design suitability, buildability and sustainability across shortlisted spaces.
The chosen location, an A-Grade tower at 55 Collins Street, offered an optimal blend of premium amenities, luxury end-of-trip facilities, views of the Yarra River, and the flexibility required to execute the design intent.
Design
CyberArk’s Melbourne office design takes advantage of the building’s natural light and the city’s urban character, using muted blues to create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand while differentiating it from the Sydney workplace.
Key design features include:
- Brand expression: A hexagonal perforated metal feature wall, inspired by a Faraday cage and the CyberArk logo, serves as both a striking brand statement and symbolic representation of the organisations’ commitment to global cybersecurity.
- Adaptable spaces: The boardroom features operable walls that open into the client lounge, creating a versatile space for events and presentations.
- Flexible working: Hot-desking and touchdown zones support hybrid working, particularly for employees travelling interstate.
- Social anchor point: The breakout area acts as a central hub, defined by a bold blue marble splash-back that reinforces brand identity. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping city views, echoing CyberArk’s value of transparency.
Deliver
Environmental and social sustainability were prioritised throughout the project.
Key initiatives include:
- Smart building systems: Installation of CBUS smart lighting and air-conditioning to enhance energy efficiency.
- Sustainable reuse: Retention and repurposing of existing ceilings, lighting, and carpet to significantly reduce demolition waste.
- Acoustic zoning: Placement of focus pods in quieter areas and use of joinery and built form to manage sound separation.
- Recycled materials: Integration of recycled PET acoustic panels and targeted treatments to floors, walls and ceilings to improve reverberation control and overall comfort.
