CyberArk is a cybersecurity company that secures identities and privileged access across hybrid and cloud environments to protect organisations from breaches and insider threats.
The Challenge
After outgrowing its small serviced office, CyberArk required a larger Sydney workplace that could support business growth, clearly express the brand, and elevate the client experience. The new fit‑out needed to accommodate a diverse range of work styles, encourage in‑office engagement, and deliver a high‑quality environment within a compact footprint.
Key challenges included:
- Company growth: The existing office no longer supported the expanding workforce or the full spectrum of contemporary work modes required by the business.
- Return to office: Following national lockdowns, a welcoming and collaborative environment was needed to encourage staff back into the workplace and support in person engagement.
- Client facing requirements: A high‑impact event, presentation, and meeting space was essential to support client interaction and reinforce CyberArk’s market leadership.
- Brand expression: The workplace needed to communicate trust, transparency, and innovation, while delivering the level of design quality expected of a leading global technology company.
- Optimised footprint: The design was required to maximise functionality, flexibility, and experience within a constrained 340sqm floorplate.

Spaceful’s strategy focused on using CyberArk’s new headquarters to reinforce brand values, drive collaboration, and offer choice-based working, all while optimising a small footprint for long-term growth.
Key strategic goals included:
- Reinforce transparency: Ensure the location and design visually communicate trust and openness.
- Enhance accessibility: Secure central CBD address to support staff, clients and national operations.
- Enable hybrid work: Create an agile environment with multiple work settings to encourage office return and collaboration.
- Elevate client experience: Prioritise a versatile event and presentation space that can adapt to high-profile engagements.
- Spatial planning: Use multipurpose zoning and spatial efficiency to accommodate a fast-growing workforce.
Design
CyberArk’s Sydney office fit-out removes traditional barriers to create a fluid, responsive workspace that reflects the company’s commitment to transparency, innovation and connection. Deep blue accents define the arrival zone, while vibrant tangerine details energise adjacent collaboration booths.
Key design features include:
- Heritage integration: Existing concrete trusses are preserved and highlighted through a curated lighting strategy, with linear LED strips acting as subtle wayfinding and emphasising their industrial character.
- Immersive entry: Instead of a conventional reception, visitors arrive at a multifunctional collaboration zone anchored by a self-check-in concierge desk that doubles as a presentation lectern, setting the tone of openness and flexibility.
- Secondary collaboration: An adjacent area offers an intimate setting for small-group ideation, featuring a writable wall to encourage creativity and dynamic problem solving.
- Flexible working: A hot-desking model with height-adjustable desk supports mobility across the floorplate, complemented by quiet rooms along the perimeter for focused work and private discussion.
- Social hub: Overlooking Sydney Harbour Bridge, this space provides a standout setting for daily connection and high impact client events. A generous kitchen island and café-style seating create a relaxed, communal atmosphere, while full height glazing extends openness throughout.
- Event-ready boardroom: An operable wall connects the boardroom to the social hub, transforming the two areas into a single, expansive venue. Diagonal wall panelling subtly references CyberArk’s ethos: “Go Fearlessly Forward.”
