CyberArk is a cybersecurity company that secures identities and privileged access across hybrid and cloud environments to protect organisations from breaches and insider threats.
The Challenge
CyberArk had outgrown its small, serviced office, requiring a larger, more expressive Sydney office fit-out that would communicate brand identity, support workforce expansion and elevate the client experience.
Key challenges included:
- Brand expression: The workspace had to project trust, transparency and innovation and have the design quality expected of a leading technology company.
- Return to office: Following a national lockdown, CyberArk needed a welcoming, collaborative environment that would draw employees back to the office and support in person engagement.
- Client facing: Creating a high-impact event and presentation space was essential.
- Optimised footprint: The design had to cater to a growing workforce and a full spectrum of working styles within 340sqm.

Spaceful’s strategy focused on using CyberArk’s new headquarters to reinforce brand values, drive collaboration and offer choice-based working, all while optimising a small footprint for long-term growth.

- Reinforcing transparency: Ensuring the location and design visually communicated trust and openness.
- Enhancing accessibility: Securing a central CBD address to support staff, clients and national operations.
- Enabling hybrid work: Creating an agile environment with multiple work settings to encourage office return and collaboration.
- Elevating the client experience: Prioritising a versatile event and presentation space that can adapt to high-profile engagements.
- Spatial planning: Using multipurpose zoning and spatial efficiency to accommodate a fast-growing workforce.
Design
CyberArk’s Sydney office fit-out removes traditional barriers to create a fluid, responsive workspace that reflects the company’s commitment to transparency, innovation and connection. Deep blue accents define the arrival zone, while vibrant tangerine details energise adjacent collaboration booths.
Key design features include:
- Heritage integration: Existing concrete trusses are preserved and highlighted with curated lighting, with linear LED strips acting as subtle way-finding.
- Immersive entry: Instead of a conventional reception, visitors arrive at a multifunctional collaboration zone anchored by a self-check-in concierge desk that doubles as a presentation lectern.
- Secondary collaboration: A smaller area adjacent to the reception offers an intimate setting for small-group ideation, featuring a writable wall .
- Flexible working: A hot-desking model with height-adjustable desk supports mobility across the floor plate, complemented by quiet rooms for focused work and private discussion.
- Social hub: Overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the breakout area offers a standout setting for daily connection and client events. A generous kitchen island, café-style seating and full-height glazing create a relaxed, open feel.
- Event-ready boardroom: An operable wall connects the boardroom to the social hub, transforming the two areas into a single, expansive venue. Diagonal wall panelling subtly references CyberArk’s ethos: “Go Fearlessly Forward.”
