A recent article in HRD Australia highlights key insights from the Spaceful Workplace Summit 2026, where senior leaders explored what it takes to build high-performing organisations in an era of AI adoption, hybrid work and shifting employee expectations.

Hosted in Sydney on 17 June, the Summit brought together Shruti Ganeriwala, CHRO at Unilever; Lachlan Jenson, workplace specialist at Netflix; Dawid Naude, founder of Pathfindr; and James Bleakman, Workplace Strategy Director at Spaceful.

Together, the panel explored what it takes to build a high-performing organisation in 2026, from AI adoption and hybrid work to performance culture and the changing role of the office.

A key theme was the need for workplaces to earn their place by supporting focus, mentoring, development and connection. The discussion also looked ahead to how office design may need to evolve as AI becomes more voice-driven.
