Spaceful project, Temple & Webster, wins silver at the Australian Design Awards 2024.
The Temple & Webster national headquarters in Gadigal Country, Sydney, has won
Silver in the Interior Design category at the Better Future – Australian Design Awards 2024.
This news comes after winning Gold in the Interior Design Category at the Better Future – Sydney Design Awards 2023.
About the project
Having previously occupied five separate locations, Temple & Webster’s mission for their new campus-style headquarters was to create a central hub that would support their ever-growing team and cement their position as a top Australian employer and employer of choice.
Crucial to the design was the concept of a Greenhouse – a safe space that provides all of the essential elements for growth – Energy, Diversity, Nourishment and Support. Temple & Webster wanted their HQ to provide staff with a similar environment, where they could thrive and flourish, feel supported and included, and stay creative and motivated.
Spaceful was able to ensure a maximum return on investment from the outset by assisting with landlord negotiations and producing a bespoke workplace strategy that would guide the design of the space. Set inside a former railway shed, it was important that the design not only attend to this strategy, but that it also respected the history of the space and embraced the building’s historic architectural elements.
