Engineers Australia partnered with Spaceful to transform its longstanding Canberra headquarters into a modern member-focused office fit out that celebrates the engineering profession and supports future growth. The project enhances organisational culture, optimises space utilisation, and brings the story of engineering to life, showcasing the power of local expertise, sustainable design, and a shared vision for the future.

Set in the heart of the nation’s capital, SMEC’s new Canberra office is designed to be a destination workspace. A workspace superior to competitors that honour SMEC’s reputation as a pioneer of Canberra’s thriving engineering industry.

The national headquarters of engineering services company Nova System, draws inspiration from their twenty-year history within the aviation industry.

Inspired by its waterfront location, SMEC’s Sunshine Coast office was consciously designed to transport visitors away from a corporate environment into what resembles a relaxed, coastal bungalow. The design of this space was strongly influenced by its connection to the Sunshine Coast. Looking across the shores of Lake Kawana, the waterfront location provided a unique opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind workspace that spoke to its coastal roots. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for a spectacular 180-degree view of the water and an unparalleled delivery of natural light.
